Location - Togo is located in West Africa between Ghana, Benin and Burkina-Faso.
Togo is about the size of West Virginia at 56,000 square Kilometers. Lomé is the capital and principal city. Other towns include Kara, Sokode, Kpalime and Atakpame. Climate

The climate is tropical. -
Average annual temperature ranges from 81° F at the coast to 100° F in the north. -
The south has two rainy seasons, from March to July and from October to November; the north has one rainy season (April to July).

Principle food crops are cassava, yams, corn, millet, and sorghum. The leading export crops are coffee, cotton, and cacao.
Population
- 5 million people with 44 ethnic groups.
- Ewe and Kabiye are the principal African languages. French is the official language and is used in administration, commerce, and is taught in schools.
- About 55% of the people practice traditional religions. Another 25% are Christian and 20% are Muslim.
